Here's the question for October 19. Remember to respond by October 21, then again by October 23.
As we continue in David Copperfield, we meet the character of Uriah Heep, one of Dickens' most well known characters. What part do you think be will play in our story?
David feels uncomfortable around him and he does seem strange...with him wanting to marry Agnes...I feel something bad is going to happen or something.
Welllll...Tommy Traddles seems pretty real to me. He is going through a lot and the sturggle of life is really portrayed well through him. Plus he is my favorite character.
It has to be Agnes a real nice person. Does everything to keep David from getting hurt. I still dont understand why David never fell in love with Agnes, but to late now.
David seems to be the most realistic character because we get to see what he's thinking, but that's probably the only reason why. Plus, he likes girls a lot- just like teens in this age.
Having read it before, I feel the story is predictable. However, if it were someone new to the story, I would think that it is somewhat suspenseful but still tragic no matter who you are.

ReplyDeleteI think that Uriah might cause some problems in the book. He is not looking like the best person to hang around for too long
ReplyDeleteUriah is really creepy and I don't trust him.
ReplyDeleteI think he'll end up being a bad villian later in the book.
Here's the question for the week of October 26. Remember to respond by October 28, then again by October 30.

ReplyDeleteIs Romeo and Juliet a play that keeps you in suspense or do you feel that the characters and the plot are too predictable?
eh, we all pretty much know what's gonna happen in the end, so it's not very suspensful. The dialogue is too hard to understand anyway.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, i think that it's a little too predictable to me. Sometimes it suprises me but not that much.
